    Charities / Impact report

Global Action Plan is an environmental charity working towards a green and thriving planet, where everyone can enjoy happy and healthy lives within the Earth’s limits.

It’s the organisation behind Clean Air Day, the UK’s biggest pollution action campaign, and it currently focuses on three areas:

    • Tackling air pollution
    • Curbing excessive consumption
    • Transforming the education system.

  • First impact report for the charity

Global Action Plan wanted a copywriter to write their first ever public-facing impact report. The aim was to celebrate and showcase the charity’s achievements over the previous year.

The charity focuses on the environment and young people, so I felt very much aligned with their goals. I had recently worked with a number of charities in similar fields, from the Environmental Investigation Agency, the #iwill campaign and Youth Futures Foundation to Mission 44, Lewis Hamilton’s charity.

This project involved taking a variety of background material and shaping it into compelling stories that would sum up the charity’s achievements and reflect its brand and tone of voice.

I worked on this project with Kathryn Samson, an excellent graphic designer who I’ve known for a number of years. If you’re looking for something similar, we make a good team!

    Client testimonial

“I worked with Fiona on our organisation’s first-ever impact report. I was impressed at how she synthesised a lot of information about a wide variety of projects and drew out the key narratives and impactful facts. Her copy is clear and concise – she considers the value of every word. Our Director of Marketing was also pleased with how the copy came together and that the language reflects our brand. Fiona is collaborative and responsive, and delivered a great end result with a short turnaround. I’d definitely recommend her.”
